Yo! Yosemite.
Yosemite National Park is the first place I camped as a grownup (if you can really call a 21-year-old 'grown up,' anyway) so it's always held a notable place in my heart. Whenever I'm there, I feel all:
You can imagine how thrilled I was, then, to spend Labor Day weekend in the birthplace of America's national parks system with nine other all-star women. We hiked, we talked, we laughed, we built fires, we ate and hiked and ate some more, and even though today's the first day I don't feel residual soreness from our epic 14-miler in my legs, it's definitely been a 'hurts so good' situation.
Stay tuned for the full trip recap. In the meantime, check out our highlights reel, and a selection of the *excellent* photos taken by trip leader Abby.
Pro tip for making those hard-to-come-by Yosemite reservations: campground reservations are available in blocks of one month at a time, up to five months in advance, on the 15th of each month at 7 am Pacific time. Want a spot on Memorial Day, 2015? Better boot up your computer at 6:55 AM on January 15.
