Kick off your weekend feeling like the badass woman you are with this 9.2 mile hike through Marin's backcountry, taking in two of our *favorite* sights, Cataract Falls and Alpine Lake. Best of all, these trails are leashed-dog-friendly, so you don't have to leave your pooch at home while you go out and have all the fun.
We'll meet at the Cataract Falls trailhead at 8:30am Saturday morning! Our precise end time depends entirely on our group hiking speed, but anticipate wrapping up between 12:30 and 2:00pm. For a map of our route, click here. For a full elevation profile, click here.
Never been on a Trail Mavens trip? You're more than welcome, and this is a great opportunity to meet some of the other ladies in our community.
If you're reading this message, you're too late to get in on our carpools, but you're welcome to meet us there on Saturday! Please pack the following:
- A full belly so you're pre-fueled for the hike
- Map printout, ideally in color
- Backpack
- Layers
- Sunscreen/lip balm
- Hat/sunglasses
- At least 2L of water
- Abundant snacks/lunch
Note that there are no facilities at the trailhead, so come prepared with empty bladders and full water bottles.
